I the notice that the navigation button is on my display. Has anyone been able to modify the software running on their uConnect devices to enable one or more of the following things: Play movies from AVIs (or other movie containers) from the HDD Watch a movie on the front screen while the car is in movement (so that the passenger can watch a movie without sitting in the back). They are mounted via Panavise mounts, since I despise windshield suction cup mounts - precisely because they give up and the unit falls down.
I paid less than $50 for the 1100, and less than $90 for my 1490LMT. Clutter is a matter of where you mount it, and if you don't have a large ICE screen in the car already, you likely have some space to put it in your line of sight and reach, yet not in the way.
